She asked me: But what do you REALLY want? Then my brain opened wider.

I had the most interesting conversation over a business lunch yesterday. Against the practical voice in my head, I answered her question about what I really want to be doing, and a new door opened up that I couldn’t have imagined.

It felt good to share so openly, even though I didn’t know her well. I could tell she cared.

I feel like my brain expanded in a new way by taking that risk to think about dreamy possibilities.

So, for the new year, I dare you to think BIGGER about your work or personal goals, and about how you want to spend your time. And then say your dream out loud to at least one person. Maybe “Think Bigger” will be my phrase for the year!

These questions might help you clarify your bigger dreams:

  1. What energizes you?
  2. What is your ideal day?
  3. Who is your ideal client?

And then ask:

  1. Are you attracting the work you really want?
  2. If you looked at your task list, do those items relate to your bigger goals?

You can remove some of those items on your list if there’s not a great reason for doing them. Sometimes the trick to success is knowing when to remove things from the list.

If it’s time for a new approach, I would love to help you re-vitalize your plans to make them do exactly what you want. It’s possible.

I started reading some inspiring books to keep me on this mind-expanding path. It’s helping!
