3 Quick, Easy, Effective, and Free Steps To Get Clients

3 Quick, Easy, Effective, and Free Steps To Get Clients

You will rarely find those 4 words together: Quick, Easy, Effective, and Free. So I recommend you take this seriously because you might not find that combination again.

These are concrete steps that get real results. I’ll walk you through step by step. No catch. I’m just providing this list because I see too many people struggling when it can be much easier.

No need to go take another marketing webinar, read another book, make more lists, post more on social media, or wonder if you should hire that telemarketer who “can get you listed in Google.” Let those go for now.

These steps are bound to help you attract clients sooner than any of those things can do.

Pre-requisites? The only thing you need before these will work is that you have something to offer that you believe in and that you know has value to others.

You don’t need a website, a business name, or business cards before doing these things.

I’ve explained each step clearly so it’s easy to go step-by-step. Let’s begin.

Take These 3 Steps in This Order of Priority

Click the link for full explanation of why and how to take that step.

  1. Create a full profile in LinkedIn like this. (This can serve as your good-enough-website-for-now.)
  2. Get listed in the Google Business directory.
  3. Write an email to people who already know and trust you, asking them to help spread the word.
This might make you nervous at first glance but go read about it anyway. You might like it! I make it easy.

Are You Feeling Cautious or Resistant?

If part of you is struggling to put yourself out there or you feel resistant about marketing in any way, read this first: If You Hate Promoting Your Services, Stop. That will help you find a new approach that aligns with your heart.

You can be good at marketing and even like it. I promise. It’s not what you think. It’s about connecting from your heart to their heart. That’s all it is.

If It Doesn’t Work, Here’s the Real Problem.

If those marketing steps listed above don’t bring in clients, or if you’re not doing them for some reason, then something else is in the way that needs addressing first. It’s probably one of these concerns:

  1. Lack of clarity about your ideal audience or niche.
  2. Trouble with what to say.
  3. Internal block about letting people pay for your services. (Money issues, anyone? This is where business coaching can really help.)

You Don’t Have To Do It Alone

I realize I make it sound so easy but your head might still be spinning and you might resist getting it done. If it feels too hard, it just means it’s time to get connected to some help. There’s nothing wrong with you!

You can have a lot more ease (and more fun) if you work on your business alongside kindred spirits. Check out The Introvert/HSP SOULpreneurs Group for a good option. Membership includes understanding support, practical guidance from a business coach (me), hands-on help with technical things if needed, and marketing help.

Business and marketing (and life) are not meant to be solo experiences, even if you’re a solopreneur. It won’t work like that.

If you’re new to self-employment, here’s a way to easily learn what it will take to make it work: Bridge to Self-employment (interactive, low-budget course).
